Case Management/ PRSS
My name is Hilary, and I have worked at Vegas Stronger for a little over a year in Peer Support and Intake Navigation. In my role, I help individuals entering services understand the recovery process and feel more comfortable with the next steps they need to take. I assist clients with navigating resources, connecting to services, identifying barriers, and building a plan that supports their recovery and stability.
One of the most important parts of my job is meeting clients where they are and helping them feel supported rather than judged. I understand that beginning recovery and making major life changes can feel overwhelming, so I work to make the process easier to understand and help clients recognize that they do not have to go through it alone.
I am passionate about peer support because I have experienced difficult situations in my own life that are similar to what many of the clients I serve are going through. My lived experience allows me to connect with clients on a personal level, offer encouragement, and show them that change and recovery are possible. I love being able to watch clients begin to come out of difficult situations, gain confidence, and start building a better life for themselves.
Working at Vegas Stronger has given me the opportunity to turn my own experiences into a way to help others. My goal is to continue providing compassion, support, advocacy, and guidance while helping each client take the next step toward recovery and a more stable future.
