Study Director and Clinician
Nathalie Barki currently serves as a clinician and Study Director at Vegas Stronger, a nonprofit substance use disorder treatment organization in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she specializes in assessment, treatment, and clinical outcomes research. She approaches behavioral health as a whole-person discipline, weaving together counseling, nutritional science, and lifestyle research to support lasting change. With a career rooted in both research and direct clinical practice, she goes beyond symptom management to address the full landscape of a person’s health and wellbeing.
She graduated with honors from Istanbul Bilgi University with a dual degree in Psychology and English Language Teaching, and was awarded an Erasmus scholarship to study neuroscience at Utrecht University. For seven years, Nathalie served as chief assistant to renowned psychologist, author, and activist Azra Kohen, contributing to research on public health and animal rights. She went on to earn dual graduate degrees in Mental Health Counseling and Psychological Counseling from Columbia University in New York, where she also worked at the Citron Hennessey therapy center.
Since 2020, Nathalie has worked internationally as a clinician and researcher, conducting seminars and seeing clients across multiple countries. As a mother, she has a visceral understanding of how early relational experiences shape who we become, an insight that drives her to look beyond behavior and into the roots of addiction, trauma, and mental health.
