Rhonda Sanjurjo serves as a Manager of Case Management and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Intern at Vegas Stronger. She has a huge desire and passion to help those in need and help them get connected to resources. In Rhonda’s current position, she is responsible for meeting with each client to gain a better understanding of how Vegas Stronger can help them to become healthy in all areas; physically and emotionally.

Rhonda has been in the helping/mental health field for 18 years. She obtained her Associates in Psychology in 1998, Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2004 and Master of Science in Human Relations, with a concentration in counseling in 2006. Rhonda was a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma for 10 years. She has experience working with substance-related and addictive disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship concerns, and other life experiences. She believes that each person has their own story that has shaped what they are currently experiencing.

Rhonda was born and raised in Oklahoma and in 2017 moved with her husband to Monterey, California where he was serving in the military. In 2020, Rhonda’s husband retired from the Army, and they moved to Las Vegas which they call home. Rhonda has 3 adult children, 2 son in-laws and 2 precious granddaughters who all still reside in Oklahoma. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. Rhonda feels very honored to be part of Vegas Stronger team and stands behind the mission of reducing homelessness in Las Vegas by addressing its root causes: mental illness and substance use disorders.
